I can't believe the music you have them singing. Tori, Bjork, Crowded House...they'll grow up with a true appreciation for music. This is amazing.

i love the way that they are all in it and NOT afraid

@eklectric i get your point, but they're singing from the bottom of their hearts, which is very touching. and they're kids, so let them be kids.

Eklectric, I think the children are just enjoying what they do, and they express this feeling how they can, the way they want ! So please, be nice, they are just children!! They will have time to be serious and not to pose. Just leave them being children. And I think they sing straight, the result is really good. Just encourage them, do not be so a killjoy. Look at those smiles on their faces !! This is only joy, only love, sharing, happiness.... So, just smile :)

@eklectric You're ridiculous. It's amazing to see children so engaged. Kudos to their teacher and to them for letting loose. I was rockion' some "moves' just listening to these amazing children.

@agreggofsociety i actually think it's great, too, because singing is a bodily art, just as the performance of any instrument is. you have to practice with your body, not just your ear--your breath, posture, and different elements of parts of your entire head and torso to refine your technique. Getting in touch with their own natural bodily responses to their singing--regardless of where in the culture they come from--will give them a huge leg up when it comes time to grow as singers later on.

..I go along with Mr. teacher on this one... the "posing" does not in any way look forced...it is just kids doing it the way they like to do it....influenced by what they see on TV ? yes, no doubt..but not coached into putting on an act. Let them perform the way they want to..and above all : enjoy.

a wonderful performance...
Why do some of the kids mimic two-bit popstars though? sometimes it seems more important for some of them to "pose" than to sing straight... When I was their age, "moves" were a pretty silly thing to do, plus it throws off your focus... popstars only do it in videos kids, it's the "make-believe" part. Don't focus too hard on how you look singing, people prefer to hear the voice that comes from your heart, the one that doesn't care how it looks. :) props!!!

i respect where you're coming from, even if i completely disagree. for me, much of the beauty of these performances lies in the children feeling free to express the music any way they choose. and if it's dramatic, I say who cares? they'll have time down the road to master the art of performing. it's most important for them at this age to have a forum to feel comfortable expressing themselves. let them have fun and feel like the rock stars they are! but i'm glad you liked and thanks :)
