READ HERE BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS:

Had a smaller surgery on my tounge. They cut of the thingy under the tounge, so I could pull out my tounge further.

FAQ
Q: Did it hurt?
A: No, but it felt like someone was cutting cloth in my mouth. A weird feeling.

Q: How much did it cost?
A: Nothing. In Sweden, most medical stuff are free.

Q: Why would you do that to yourself?!
A: My tounge is very short, so to make it more mobile I had the frenulum under the tounge cut off.

Q: Is it more mobile now?
A: Yeah, a bit. Not as much as I thought it would be though. Maybe it healed to well, and some of the frenulum grew back.

Q: Did it hurt afterwards?
A: Some, but not much. My tounge was numb for like 2 days.

Q: Did you take any medicine after the surgery?
A: No, I did not. It was a simple procedure that didn't require any follow-ups.

  • @physicsmod Wrong. In Sweden, medical care is free, like public schools, fire stations, police stations, etc. You should learn that before posting something idiot.

  • They had to replace the cotton balls 3 times XD

  • I had this done when I was ten but they cut it out with a laser cutter thing but they got to the back they didn't put on the numbing stuff so it just felt like a needle and 2 cotton balls soaked with blood XD

  • no wonder it's free.. it's also useless

  • Both of my sons have this problem, the school asked that the children be seen by the doctor. he helped my youngest son who's lower teeth were being pulled in by the restrained tongue, but thought my older son would be ok. He was wrong. My oldest son has great difficulty speaking and we have a hard time understanding him. At 32 he struggles and wishes to have the surgery still. medical is not free in the U S A.

  • @johnknoefler "totally stupid useless surgery"?

    I absolutely disagree.

you use your tongue for a lot more than talking.

    ever hear of "oral sex"?

try giving a woman that with a tied tongue.

much easier to do after the snip.

    how do I know?

    work it out.

  • @melaniexq it's a totally stupid useless surgery. Mine was done when I was an infant thanks to my meddling grandmother. My daughter was also born tongue tied but I left her be as is. She spoke perfectly and in fact was extremely articulate and could mimic many voices. Even as a toddler she would mimic her baby brother crying. She could roll her r's perfectly.

  • Is it worth the trouble to have done to you? Because I have the same problem.
