I've seen bus drivers do this quite a lot, what's so important that their conversation takes precedence over everybody waiting behind them?

Also, the "cut up" - it felt worse than it looks. This happens quite a lot on my commute to work where the road chicanes. People often overtake thinking they've left me a lot of room but instantly forget I'm there as they straight line the chicane and pull across me too early. Hey ho.

  • Another moron on a bike blameing everyone else for his stupidity.

Hi. I take full responsibility for my own actions (as we all should), I even critisise myself in this very video if you watch it to the end. I'm not perfect, I don't claim to be, but I try hard to be safe. My choice of vehicle is irrelevant, don't assume I only cycle.

Calling somebody a moron does nothing to further any argument you may have. Stay safe, and drive safely.

  • am i missing something... you are fast riding a bike between 2 lanes in very heavy traffic and you blame the car drivers.. maybe in UK its ok but not in the US ... how do you think they can see you coming?

  • @belfast479 Ah missed this comment. If you read the text in the video I do hold my hand up to filtering too quickly. But it's not illegal to filter, and it's a common misconception to think it is. It's classed as overtaking and is legal when the traffic is stationary or slow moving. The HighwayCode is explicit in putting the onus on car drivers wishing to change lanes to check mirrors and blind spots, references are given at the end of the video. There has also been test cases in law

  • @alstain Well, yes. I can't grumble too much about the bus drivers, I just think it's bad form to hold up the traffic especially when it is backing up on the roundabout. They have radios after all. In the discussion with the cyclist at the end, I didn't at any point hold up traffic nor would I.

  • @jonredhornet I can't comment specifically on those two bus drivers but I am a bus driver and there is often cause to mention any problems another drive might find ahead on his route - ie trouble passengers or badly parked vehicles impeding the route etc... not ALL buses have radios and not all conversations are quaranteed to be heard by the drivers - you say it face to face then you know they have the heard and understood the message, safety first

  • @sjtom57 "blaming" does not have an "e" in it.

  • @vrchris Fair point.

  • You complain. how stupid can you be to go between two buses like that . Gobshit

  • You are cycling like a fucking idiot (especially between the 2 buses, and between two lanes of slow-moving traffic) yet you think you look hard done by on YouTube?
