This video was taken in June 2011. I am flying Cessna 172L N9417L. It is a very good plane, but had difficulty with the transponder. I take off, fly straight out directly to the 3 rivers and downtown Pittsburgh. In contact with Pittsburgh Approach, I got a nice little flyover of Heinz Field, PNC Park, and a few other nice recognizable places in Pittsburgh. While doing this flyover, a Boeing 737 actually came about a mile away from us at a very low altitude going into Pittsburgh INTL (KPIT) runway 28R. After teh downtown tour, we went out to the east of AGC (allegheny county) and did some stalls, steep turns, 0 G's, and just plain old flyin' around. After those fun things, I headed back to Allegheny County Airport (KAGC) for 4 touch and goes and the last full stop, I had to make short approach because a Fokker was on a 5 mile final and I didn't want to get any turbulence from the jet. After landing, I taxied Charlie, and Alpha to Pittsburgh Flight Training Center to see my dad, aunt, and grandmother waiting in the observation deck... It was a great flight on a cool, cloudy, June day!
