A Midland Red D9 on the Walsall - Stafford service 865 leaves Bradford Place and crosses The Bridge, Walsall in this c 1976 video. Buses and cars can no longer drive across The Bridge in Walsall as its now a pedestrianised area.

  • I think Park Street was pedestrianised between The Bridge and Station Street around the end of August 1975.

  • Didn't think there was much in it. I remember those blue and cream coloured buses well, used to catch one to school outside the Bradford Pub in Palfrey. Also used to park my motorbike at the then bike park which was the Cenotaph by a large tree and benches. Think Walsall seemed a better place then definitely for driving through and parking. Im not all in favour of total block paved area's.......

  • Forgot to say I noticed you could no longer turn left into Park Street at this point in time. 00:25 sec That road couldn't have been closed to traffic much before this video..........

  • Wow 0.17 sec M+J shop I used to buy all my gear from there back in those days. That was the in place back then where all the young trendy clothes were bought if you were in fashion that is. Thanks for posting this clip. Priceless !!

  • Wow Amazing Footage once again! Thankyou for sharing!
