What puts the curl in curling?
Don't just watch the Winter Olympics! You can be a curling stone at the Ontario Science Centre's new human curling prototype exhibit. We talked physics with a curling instructor to get a handle on how to put you in the game. Visit us during the Olympics and tell us what YOU think of the idea.

  • @XxAIlenxX thanks for the info. makes sense to me now

  • @petree That is called "sweeping." It reduces the friction of the ice to A- allow the stone to travel further and B- reduce the friction on the favouring side of the stone to allow it to curl.
