That was brilliant! As the original recovers from taking the first blow and comes about, I can imagine Shatner's Kirk looking at the viewscreen, maybe using his partially-closed fist to wipe blood from a cut lip saying, "Let's try that again."

Ugh, I HATE the AR Enterprise. The exterior design is bad enough, but the fact that it's weaponry is so different than that of TOS makes me want to blow up J.J. Abrams' studio.

The movie enterprise was launched in 2258 where as the original Enterprise was launched in 2245 and destroyed in 2285 and the crew didnt meet at the Academy and Chekov was even in Starfleet by 2258 cuz he was assigned to the Enterprise in 2265 year after it started its 4th five year mission
