I bet yall if that was in Haiti that happened they would have posted how dangerous it is in Haiti and not for people to travel there. Since most if not all the resosrts are foreign owned in DR & all the other Islands in the Caribbean, the media here in the US will never portray these PARADISE ISLANDS as dangerous. This is outrageous! Pto Plata is a run down town, filled with prostitution, drugs, and some pretty seedy characters fleeing their own countries that find refuge there. It used to be a great place. Political corruption, abuse of power, social injustice, rampant inequality create these is awful conditions. What a shame! Poor people.
