I want this film to be made for the fans as well as the author. I want the film to be true to the books as much as possible. I want the setting, the atmosphere, the love, to be portrayed exactly how it was in the books. I want to see the characters look and act like how they are described in the books. Finally, and most importantly, I want Anne herself to approve of and be satisfied with everything. Only then will I be truly happy and satisfied.

I loved Tom Cruise as Lestat and would love to see him reprise the role, but I've also had another actor in mind since watching Game of Thrones; Harry Lloyd. By God, that man would be perfect.

@Vikkaful Yes, he did a fantastic job! It would have been wonderful if they could have continued with the movie series back in the 90's using Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Neil Jordan, but it didn't work out. I was VERY disappointed with QotD. It was an OK horror flick, but it failed utterly as an Anne Rice adaptation. It was annoying to hear the people acting in it called by the names Marius, Lestat, and Maharet when they were nothing like Anne Rice envisioned them.

Robert Downey Jr is awesome and a great actor, but he is NOT LESTAT!!! Oh, please, why can't it be an unkown actor with talent who is able to make the role his own and BE Lestat for all of his fans? Lestat is only 22, French, blonde and blue eyed, tall and buff. RD,J was buff in iron man, but that's all he has in common. As a fan for 23 years, I don't think a true fan will be satisfied with anything less than great this time after the disgusting QotD movie.

Anne, I love the vampire chronicles very, very, very much and YES, they're much better than True Blood and Twilight. If u like True Blood, that's ok! But I always will prefer Lestat and friends =) hahaha

ok, me and bf have been in contact with Anne Rice, I know alot of you wouldn't believe me but we emailed her and She really wants to be part of the new Lestat movie.I read that there is going to be a new movie made of lestat called: Lestat: the vampire Chronicals. I don't know which part of the books it'll be but i hope the second book ofcourse.

That is why this question is asked i think.

But the person who is going to play the role from the rumors I heard will be Robert Downey Jr. he's to old

I really hope someone makes The Vampire Armand into a movie. I adored that book. Of course it would be quite controversial but it would be worth it.
