"Ever and Ever" 48 Hour Film Project Portland OR 2010
Parker Peterson has stolen a temporal displacement device from a clandestine world organization in order re-live moments with his recently deceased wife Pam. In the process of going back into the past when Pam was still living, Parker unknowingly creates a time loop that becomes increasingly unstable and threatens to destroy the space time continuum.
The highly secretive organization has dispatched two of its key members and a temporal tactical team to once and for all end the loop before space and time collapses however, they too get caught in disjointed time, marking the 1999th attempt to fix time. Parker is willing to cause the end of everything to be with his wife again... how romantic is that!
This is the director's cut version that differs from the original submitted to the 48HFP in that the "shoot-out" scene was altered in speed, improved weapon fire, the olive color tone was replaced by a grey tone & texture that symbolized the "grey," undefined timeline in the "Ever and Ever" reality and the credit's music score was changed to a more "grand" feel, to coincide with the cinematic nature of the film.
Excellent!
