  • I would kill myself if I were Gwen

  • @NicoleHalsey13 Youuu're soooo right!

  • @Mandinko23 i agree. and also i think the fact that the fortune goes to the little boy lessens gwen's guilt about stealing it away from his mother. it all worked out (for the boy) in the end.

  • what a nice thing for Daniel to do for Mirah. She is now able to meet her brother but what a shame he is diying!

  • @NicoleHalsey13 THANK YOU. people act like they have to choose between gwen and mirah, as if only one of them can have redeemable qualities. Why can't they both be remarkable young women?

  • @eldadevata Thnx 4 the elaborate explanation on culture & death. Maybe I'm deluding myself but there r certain things that never die until humans no longer exist. One of it is culture. It's impossible to flee from it bcos it's part of us and seen in the various ways we live, dress, talk, act and even the infrastructure & sculptures that exist today came from the great minds that were influenced by culture.

  • @NicoleHalsey13 The thing is, Gwen is exactly right when she says "people would say I got exactly what I deserved", even 100 years later, people are still saying it!

  • @chicomustreign You are deluding yourself.

A country can be conquered, its people exiled, or enslaved and so on.

Cultures come and go, they unavoidably change with time and thus die.

The illusion that cultures live on is just a pathetic way to flee the knowledge that we all die.

It is almost certain that in the not too far future from geological time perspective, our species will die out like all the 99.99% that ever lived.

Cultures have far shorter lifespan compared to a species.

  • =O Lush is Mr. Collins of P&P 1995!
