  • @JuiceJackNut VRE has only those gallery cars. The Locomotives are being replace with MP36PH-3C

  • @SuperStarRendon VRE only uses gallery cars of various vintages. This is evidently due to the clearance limitations at Washington Union Station and tunnels, but I have seen Viewliners and Superliners on these lines, so I'm also curious if there is a height limitation on VRE's lines.

  • VRE added 10 more new cars to the fleet on Feb 1, making a total of 71 new cars.

    Also, when Train #301 ends it run in Fredericksburg it turns around as deadhead Train #312. The equipment is parked at Union Station as used at Train #309 in the evening.
