My vstar 1300 with Vance&Hines Big shots installed. I think they sound great.I think I have figured out a good mapping program for the Power Commander as well. I filmed this so that others might it helpful when deciding what exhaust they might want to install. Its hard to find just what you like by looking at them. So I hope this helps. Its really easy to install and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them to the best I can. Enjoy.

  • Some have asked if the baffles are removed? The answer is no. I have installed a K&N filter on it and gotten a new map program made for my bike. I have no rattling noises either. I keep most things on my bike pretty tight and to specifications. It runs good, accelerates really good and there is really no need for trying to improve on it mechanically anyways.

  • That Sounds Great. How close is the right bag to the pipe

  • the bag is about 1.5inches from the exhaust. So far no melting..lol

  • That is exactly what I want my 1300 to sound like. Thank you for posting this! Did you have to install a Cobra FI200 and how much trouble was it finding the correct mapping?

  • I installed the Power Commander 111USB. SO far There are no exact maps for the V&H Bigshots but the maps available have thus far been very good. I would get the O2 Sensor Eliminator Kit. This will keep the engine from skipping at a constant throttle position ( cruising ect at one speed )

  • As of today I got an email from Dynojet and the correct mapping program is now available for the V&H Big Shots. As soon as I can I will download it into the USB3. Unfortunatly my laptop took a dump and the wife wont let me bring the bike in the house to hook it up to this computer so I can download right now. LOL.... Then again when she is at work she will never know..LMAO

  • @PraiseCheezits, Really? Let me understand your american prospective ...you actually believe because it utilizes pushrods instead of overhead cams is the reason the V-star Yamaha in this video sounds like a hardly davisin? Again, I will try to enlighten you Yanks. The reason this Yamaha sounds like a hardly davisin is because it utilizes a single-pin crankshaft engine. This has nothing to do with its pushrods. Yes, it is an outdated engine design, causing excessive vibration. Learn something?

  • @Tophairybutt The main reason the Yamaha sounds like a Harley is that they both use pushrods, whereas most other big Japanese cruisers use overhead cams

  • I hate to tell you this, but your Yamaha sounds very much like a Hardly Davisin. I know that Yamaha is a thousand times higher in quality and reliability, but it does sound like a hardly. Im sorry about this.

  • Great looking bike and even greater sound. I just ordered a set of V&H BigShots for my Suzuki C90 based on how great your Yamaha 1300 sounds with them.

Hope mine sounds as good as yours after I put 'em on...

  • the bars on that thing are ugly....other than that....nice bike....
