Dark Matter as seen by the COSMOS project

There needs to be more of this here in the US on the news. I love to learn about outer space. Though, what isn't shown on the news is learned in science classes at the appropriate time. However, seeing as how so many people watch TV, it'd be great to see things like this often.

American news channels don't do segments like this because they are held captive by their gov't(s) where fear takes precedes inquiry.

I saw they used a small bit of footage from the "Hubblecast 05: Hubble finds ring of dark matter" video, but I wish I knew what else they were saying about it. The 3d map of space was interesting.

american news channels usually don't touch this stuff because 1/2 the country is religious (christian mostly) and afraid of what reality actually might be. So they keep those people content by feeding them bullshit instead of anything that stimulates the mind and brings up 'relevant' issues.
