BMW E30 M3 - a living legend

this... This is how I want to drive. This is how cars shoud be driven - fast, aggressive, hard, at the limit.

Patrick Snyers had everything to drive for! McRae didn't! It was Mark Lovell, driving a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, who set the early pace, but he retired with engine failure after only a handful of stages. Fabrizio Tabaton (Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8v) was the European leader! So Snyers was flat out 2 win and McRae only had to finish in the top 3! To win the Open Champion! If Lovell hadn't had engine trouble..... He would have walked it easy! He was a God in the Cosworth!

A breathtaking display of forceful driving.

I seriously can not understand why Patrick Snyers has not been given a fair chance in the WRC!?!?!?!?
Could someone please explain this to me?

Awesome driving. Nothing beats a driver who has found the sweet spot in a car, especially one as well balanced as an E30 M3. Cheers Evo for telling the story.

Just read about this in EVO magazine and had to take a look. Stunning stuff, don't think that motor ever dropped below 7000 rpm !!
Sooooo much more exciting that boring World Rally Cars. Would be interesting to see Loeb driving one of these on tarmac (or a Manta 400, Chevette HSR, Escort Mk2, Porsche 911, Renault 5 Turbo, Lancia Stratos ... in fact anything with RWD and a LOUD engine!)

M3, one of the (now) forgotten rally machines, same as the 911 is getting to be forgotten too. Great shame as they were great cars.
