@Aratrok1 Metroid Prime is as awesome as the 2D ones. Even though I think Super Metroid is the best of all, I consider Metroid Prime being the second.

@caseyburk I share your thinking, just played SM again (And I'm still playing it) and wow, that feeling.

I just love Super Metroid, to be honest, I hate that 3D stuff, Metroid Prime.. nah.

@Jamiesyme999 - Glad I'm not alone in feeling like that. Super Metroid was (IMO) the best Metroid game ever made. It had some truly unique elements. I know it sounds silly, but I'm actually somewhat saddened to see where the series has gone with subsequent chapters... I'll always miss Super Metroid, if not for the story or mysteriousness of it all, then definitely for its music and feelings it brought with it.

Super metroid is still the best one ever, when you throw in the factor of when it was made and what they had to work with already vs fusion/zero and all that other noise (btw those two titles felt way top bright like megaman maps to me) Super Metroid made me feel like I was really on a desolate abandoned planet

I remember the original theme it was derived from in the very first Metroid game though...
