Malay is not a race, but one ethnic group of many ethnic groups in South East Asia. There are Malays in Indonesia too, but they are in Sumatra, not in Java and Bali. This music is from western part of Java and Bali, which is in Indonesia.

@lieureuy no Indonesia is originally a Malaysian country. It was colonized by Dutch and they call it Indonesia. the race is still Malay.

This track incorporates a lot of sundanese flute and sundanese lyrics from West Java and also balinese gamelan from Bali. Bali and Java are in INDONESIA :P. Fyi, campuhan is the name of area in Bali

This is an excellent album-I went out to dine in an Indian restaurant and i heard this playing and I wanted to know what it was and the waiter told me it was from an asian lounge album. well, I got it for a christmas gift after that and i LOVE it-this is such a soothing, calming relaxing album with such beautiful nature inspired melodies.
I am thinking of purchasing other world lounge music CDs,too!
