Match #2 from my coverage of Day Two from Osaka features yokozuna Asashoryu taking on fellow Mongolian Kakuryu, who is fighting at maegashira #1.

Kakuryu had a 9-6 record in January and that was enough to bump him all the way up to maegashira #1 from maegashira #8.

Kakuryu is 23 years old, weighs 138kg and stands 1.85m tall.

Enjoy!

  • lol i see a gamecube by the tv sumo is a great sport and it needs more respect

  • ASASHORYU is the best SUMO wrestler and he will be greatest Yokozuna for all the time. God bless him

  • so easy

  • Did you know that Asashoryu used to play basketball when he was in highschool back in Mongolia? My high school team played his team ones, and that's when i first knew that he was as manly tough man as we all know him today. As i fight for the ball he would go ' i'll f...ing kill ya', and give me that look he gives to his opponents. The kind of look, as if he's saying 'this dohyo is mine, get off of it!'.

  • awesome, thanks Jason :)

  • Asashoryu sure makes it look easy!

  • Well that was an easy one for Asashoryu. Lets hope he continues this way. =)
