Shetland Waltzes

Still trying to catch up with requests. Medicinecrow and donnythesalmon both asked for Ronnie Cooper tunes, so the first two in this set were both composed by Ronnie. Ronas' voe & Sunset over Foula. Not sure who composed the 3rd tune.
I'd the pleasure of knowing Ronnie when I was a teen and working up in Lerwick. The pictures change according to the music, so it should be easy enough to spot when they change.

If you're ever in Voe be sure to look for a quaint little sailboat named the Tern. She sits at anchor there in the voe, and was built by my father's brother, Lex. It's a replica of a Norwegian life saving boat. It took him 10 years building it in one of the old family wool warehouses. He then needed to remove the side wall to get the boat out! The Tern adds to the picturesque quality and character of Voe and tells a tale of harsh life at sea.
