Dr. Najibullah is one of the most cherished Afghan Presidents and is also said to be one of the "greates politicians and political thinkers of Asia in 20th century". His precise prediction about the future events in Afghanistan and the world has brought him to spotlight in the political environment of Afghanistan even 12 years after his death. However, his popularity which came after his death is mostly among the common people. In 2006 his pictures were among the best selling poster in Kabul. An online survey conducted by an indepandent Radio stations in Kabul revealed that 92% of Kabul people are nostaligic about the times of Najibullah presidency. Explaining his popularity in Afghanistan a BBC reporter says: "On Kabul's freezing winter streets Afghan urchins press smudged faces against car windows peddling photographs of Afghan leaders including Najibullah. Copies of his speeches now do a brisk trade in the market - they are admired by some Afghans for their wisdom and wit." (Lyse Doucet - BBC reporter - 14th Feb 2009).

Great speach, great public speaking skills unlike most of our current so-called politicians. One thing he said is absolutely true: " Only Allah knows what is in one's hear and whether they accept by heart ". This is where hypocrites are born: what they say and what they really believe and accept. How do people know which person is right and wrong in Afghanistan Politics; They all say they believe in one Allah and etc etc, Their actions say otherwise that is how people estimate:

If you are not from there, then you don't have the right to speak on behalf of Afghan people and if you are from their, then know that what you are saying is true for you as well. you need to expand your knowledge too. If you had some knowledge you would not ask for proof of his deeds in youtube. There is plenty of proof if you look in the right place for it. By calling others' ignorant your knowledge level does not increase !

There is not much difference between the 2. They dress up differently, but speak the same language more or less. They both hold/held same position and are puppets of the superpowers of their own times. Najib misused his position mostly when he was the head of KHAD, Karzai is abusing his position now. Najib tried to deal with Mujahideen and tried to initiate peace talks with them then, Karzai is doing the same with Taliban.... difference is time period, and game plan, not their actions !

..... He would be a great if he was not a killer, a manipulator, and a hypocrite like most others. Just because he is using Verses of Koran in his speeches does not make him the right person or give him great personality. Prophet Muhamad (pbuh) never said be among people and kill them, but to work with them and for them and show them the right path. Let's not forget what he did just because of what his speeches ! Actions speak louder.

... Najib is a good speaker, he does use lots of Verses from Koran, he does try to justify himself the best he can because he knew the people of Afghanistan, their emotions and their mentalities and he knew how to manipulate things too. Let's not forget that he is one of them too and he is also responsible for many innocent deaths and if it was not for his and his group type of actions that most of people would not join the "groups" he is talking about !...
