Max Effort Lower Body Workout for 01/24/2012. Started off with reverse band 18" front box squats with light bands (band assistance of 65lbs) . Lifts were 275x1,305x1,335x1,365x1,395x1,425x1 and 455x1. Then safety squat bar goodmornings. Lifts were 225x5,255x5,285x5,315x5 and 345x5. Finally, cable rows. Lifts were 230x12,260x12,290x12 and 320x12 (PR+5lbs). SSB from Westside Barbell.

    Yes, I have done it before as well as other barbell complexes in the past. They are a good workout but they cut into recovery time for my heavy workouts. I like my conditioning work to be sport specific. Also, the competition I'm training for is very heavy so conditioning is on the back burner at the moment.

  • have you ever tried the Bear Complex? it's a Crossfit exercise, but it's a killer workout, one rep = power clean + front squat + push press + back squat + behind the neck push press. That is 1 rep, a set must be 7 reps long, and the bar must never touch the ground...

    If you think that's not hard, try it with 80kg, you will be dead tierd by the 3rd rep...

    I think it could help you a lot on the conditioning side of your strongman training.
