In an effort to ensure the identity of the speaker is protected, his name is not revealed, and his voice has been altered.

This is a video expressing one man's personal opinion about being gay in Korea.

Many of my subscribers have asked for this topic, and I have also received some emails to my YouTube account with questions about this topic.

I will make a video where I share my opinion about being gay in Korea, if you would like to me to. Though I am not gay, I fully support gay rights, and I also have a lot of gay, bi, and lesbian friends.

Please feel free to post comments and further questions here. If I can answer them, I will. If not, I will ask my friend with whom I made this video to make an account and to answer your questions anonymously here.

Any abusive comments will be deleted. Please vote them down if you see them.

Also, ladies! The Female lesbian perspective video is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLUzHgec0M0

Men should also watch the female version as it addresses more of the legal stuff, including the fact that you could be fired from your job for being gay.

  • But what about lesbians?

  • @Steini0793 ~ the lesbian video is coming soon! i'm just finishing it up and making last minute edits! it should be up tonight or tomorrow :) thanks for your patience! it's a lot longer and it expresses more of the legal side of things here in korea than the male perspective video does, so i would encourage everyone and anyone who is watching this to also watch the other version :)

  • you beat me to this topic!! good video :)

  • @charlycheer ~ i bet you got tons of requests for this topic too, charly. the more videos on this topic, the better we can help everyone out!

  • I am straight but i strongly support gay people. I dont see why anyone should be told who they can or cannot spend their life with. Growing up in a very christian family, my opinion was never agreed with, but i think slowly this topic is becoming less and less taboo which im extremely happy about :) everyone has the right to fall in love and be happy, who cares if its with a man or a woman. People need to be more understanding. Thanks for this video :)

  • @springbearsinlove ~great! i'm editing the part 2 female perspective video now which address some of the same questions but also some ones not discussed here. i'll post it by the end of the week so check back for that one too :)

  • @imk2vin You don't necessarily have to be gay to like this video and support the LGBTQ community. You just have to be an opened minded individual who accepts others as who they are and what they wish to do.

  • people who liked the video must be gay :)

  • And I love and respect HSC so much. I just don't understand how people could react to him like that. D: People are really horrible.

  • I find it so incredibly sad that people have to hide who they are and marry people they don't love. :c

  • please please please make a korean national prospective.

  • This is UNTRUE! Lots of other few cities have gay scenes. This video only provide what is known for foreingers but if you know the language you can have access to other gay scenes. Google "IvanKorean"

  • @tokee1234567 sorry, just equate the deliberate ignorance of anything that might dent one's national pride with ultra-nationalism. I didn't mean all koreans are like that. i have many cool korean friends here.

  • Lol the troll comments on this video, when will some Koreans come to their senses and realize, Korea isn't as better of a country then any other? There are gay people whatever the race might be, before talking shit to me that there isn't, i know a few gay Korean friends NOT fags, and I would know they r Korean cuz I'm Korean myself. But honestly don't call homosexuals fags, do Koreans like it when called gooks or Americas dog? Do chinese people like being called chinks? Do black people like bei

  • That's a crazy ass family, but people are different.

  • @sheepblitzer dude wait a second. just because the guy does not accept homosexual, doesn't mean he's an ultra-nationalist. don't generalize koreans
