@lamusicahera Except Muller-Brachmann, who sang only Paolo - not the most important part indeed - no other singer were german. Sartori (the fat tenor), as I know, is even italian...

You know what, I was there and the best was the only one nobody talk about... and we almost cannot hear there: Kwangchul Youn! So far! I heard many Fiesco in live and on record. At least on top three, maybe the best.
For Domingo... well amazing job for him: he is still a BIG artist. But that said, I'm not sure somebody unknown and with the same voice an even with this high level of artistry would be cast by a serious opera house in this role.

Why does people applaud this? What is he trying to do, ruin opera? Any tenor could do that, but they all respected their act and themselves not to do it.

Placido....placido placido...hai fatto una bella carriera da tenore, non ti basta? così dimostri solo di non aver rispetto dell'Arte. Dove è lo spessore di questo personaggio? e la voce? che deve essere nera come la pece, dove è? ma gente, scusate, ma non avete orecchie per sentire che canta come ha sempre cantato? cioè da tenore? che tristezza. VIVA GLI IMMORTALI BASTIANINI, GOBBI, MONTESANTO, ANTENORE REALI VIVA VIVA.

@pepeelsordo Thank you for saying this. He sounds like a tenor singing in the range of a baritone to me, too. This just dounds very wrong for the role.
