Yeah the crowd was pretty non existent in this video. for shame..

@magnusekul also it gets boring doing things like the studio version for the 100th time.
Go listen to live versions of Pearl Jam doing Even Flow. Its like at least twice as fast as the studio version and really comes alive. I can't listen to the studio version now its so good.

They play faster because they would like to leave as quickly as possible. The sooner that they rap up the show, the sooner that they can be on their way to their next gig. The crowds energy is nonexistent in this video, as far as I can tell.
Most bands are pressured to finish quickly, to not only save cost, but to possibly make more money in a single day.

why is it that the roots allways play their songs much faster live than in studio?

Hype! There's tons of energy at live shows, and it feels more raw and hard when played fast.
