What YouTubers will never realize is...individual fighters are not ambassadors of their respective disciplines. Just because one fighter loses, doesn't make his chosen martial art a failure.

@ryang31l mma IS karate, it IS kung fu, its whatever you want it to be.. you can be a kung fu MMA fighter if you want, you can be a judo mma fighter if you want, you can be a ninjutsu fighter in mma if you want... the superior fighters will win using the most effective styles in any given situation... its not taking away anything, if anything it is adding, just filtering out useless moves.
-
@armytaskforce11x , the reason its taking over is because MMA is MIXED martial arts, its ALL martial arts, so these fighters use whatever martial art works best, mma is not a art of its own, its MIXED of ALL martial arts... so of course its going to be superior, because it is not one style... fighting only one style is unintelligent, that is why MMA is taking over, it is using more than one style, which is smarter and better.

No one should bash any, but styles like Wing Chun and Aikido get bashed because they really don't work against trained fighters(In general), but they have to realize that every martial art has its place, and styles like these are more suited for "common self-defense" than competitive combat. Another side to the problem, however, is the people that challenge this realization and make absurd claims about the perceived superiority of their respective arts vs others.
-
@Charkoly2 I have seen many UFC fanboys commending all of those arts. Although taekwondo seems to be the least-respected one on that list, unless you cross-train. The arts that they do bash are ones like Wing Chun.

However, if you look at some of the top fighters, you'll see that their base is in these styles; Anderson Silva, Cung Le, Fedor Emelianenko, Lyoto Machida, Ronda Rousey, Ben Henderson, these are just of few (former and current) title-holders of StrikeForce and UFC.

I completely agree. It also pisses me off that a lot of followers and practitioners of the sport of MMA have this stubborn mindset that won't allow them to accept that there are other styles that are cage-worthy besides Muay Thai and BJJ. Styles like Sanshou(kung fu), Sambo, Taekwondo, Judo, and Karate are all legit fighting sports, but tell any UFC fanboy that, and they'll laugh in your face.
-
i like how they prepare and "dance" in their stance and act like pro fighters from movies. ...and then it turns into a catfight.
-
this is a real pencak silat....the style very difrent no shame feat kung fu .
-
@majorkron as for karate some say it might have incorporated some kungfu move such as white crane vbut it snot entirely base on it..it more of a mix
sorry guys but wingchun, kung fu, karate don't mean shit. it's all about the fighter himself.

in America everything is dying out even tho am training in MMA I can't stand how MMA is taking everything over I miss how back then there was a prestige about being a black belt in Kung Fu ,now people laugh when you say you train in Karate .
Everyone has formed into this bbj and mma concept thinking they are the best but trust once they bump into a black belt Kung Fu fighter or Budo Karate fighter that also is in MMA they are gunna be fucked
