Cut leads off the headphones/ear mic connection as i never use them, and connected the wiring up to a speaker i ripped out of an old laptop and then connected the remaining wires up to a sadelta desk mic... all working fine.
Transceiver is connected to a homemade dipole in the loft and measured for 446mhz pmr band... range approx 5 miles give or take a bit depending on where other users are
