You are correct in that Guinness only accept the JT Posey brand of Straitjacket as the "authentic" straitjacket as far as escapes are concerned since the Posey branded jackets have the 3 additional loops, 1 on front and 1 at either side to prevent wearer escaping by just raising their arms over their heads.
Hats off to the guy for managing the number of escapes he did, BUT, Guinness do stipulate it has to be from the Posey branded straitjacket for any record to count.
