Richie is a first class tenor very underrated nice to listen to him here. Thanks for the post

Everyone here is so great. Shelly Mann has finesse. He's my all time favorite. Anyone know who the Bassist is? Everyone here is so great, man.

Be sure to see another clip from this show--of Irene Kral singing "Forgetful" with the rhythm section of this same group.

This piece is Cole Porter's "What is this thing called love?" It is taken from the 1962 telecast "Frankly Jazz".

Does anyone knows, if there are video clips of that band with Charlie Mariano playing?
Lol

boy, conte candoli is terrific on both of the clips i've seen of this band. too bad there are no clips of his great quintet with bill holman floating around in the ether (i haven't seen any), they made two albums are well-worth owning.

Marvelous! Thanks for uploading! Wasn't Richie great, and Conte too, and Monty Budwig too!

This song is composed on the changes of "WHAT IS THIS THING CALLED LOVE" ....CLEVER ! Richie Kamuka(playing in this video) was a fabulous tenor player ,and very underrated. Shelly, Russ, and Conte were top notch !! Now they are all gone, but thanks to recordings, they will remain for us forever !!
