Random: About the flood in Riyadh...فتاه امريكيه تغضب من امطار الرياض

My prayers are with the people in Riyadh
دعواتي الصادقه لكل اهالي مدينه الرياض.
I know i have never been to ksa and this is why i said i have no room to talk. I realize Riyadh is a big city and there might have been police on other parts of the city and not in other parts...im just confused on how come saudi arabia as a country didnt learn from jeddah last year...the knew that it could happen in riyadh because of what happened in 1996 so im just saying...doesnt ksa have a weather channel?
اني اعلم باني لم اذهب الى السعوديه قط في حياتي وهذا السبب اللذي جعلني ان مالي صلاح اتكلم في هذا الموضوع. اني اعلم كذلك ان مدينه الرياض هي مدينه كبيره وبالتأكيد ان يوجد لديها الشرطه والدفاع المدني في المدينه نفسها ...وليست ضواحيها ....وانا مستغربه ليه السعوديه كدوله لم تتعلم فيما حدث من احداث مؤسفه واليمه في احداث جده في العام السابق..هم بالتأكيد لديهم خبر بان حدثا كهذا سوف يحدث لانه سبق وصار الفيضان في عام 96 .. على فكره اليس لدى السعوديه قناه عن الطقس ؟


I realize jeddah from last year is completly different! im just trying to understand like why this whole thing was prevented i mean i could have been alot worse you know and thank god it wasnt. but im just saying wat if it was ten time worse then wat it is??
انا عرفت بأن جده لديها وضع مختلف ! كان من الممكن تجاوز الاحداث المؤسفه ومن الممكن كذلك اسوأ مما كان .. لكن الحمدلله انها لم تأتي باسوأ من كذا . لكن اتسأل ماذا سوف يحدث لو ان الاحداث اسوأ بعشر مرات من اللي حدث ؟؟

the problem is just like an inch of rainwater would flood the city.. the sewers or like drainage systems are not set up to hold ANY water and like for the flooding in Jeddah: they started to build new sewage systems but im pretty sure they stopped... its hard to set up something from scratch so quickly just because there are a lot of ppl IN the country. sometimes its hard to work around the ppl
