HTC Desire (U.S. Cellular) review

The HTC Desire is available on U.S. Cellular for $99 (on contract). It runs Android 2.1 (although it can be rooted to run whatever you want). It comes with a number of quite useless applications, so you'll want to root the phone if you want to remove them.

Overall, it's a pretty good phone. It doesn't have a very good camera, but it's a speedy little device that will please most of its users.

Don't listen to the people trying to hate on you, i found this review pretty good, i just got one of these phone's and waiting on it in the mail.

And i totally agree, every android i owned i always rooted it and removed all the bloatware, sure makes a difference in memory. Anyways great review. After owning this phone for awhile do you still like it, or have any issue's?

@1991darkmage It's a pretty solid phone. Just wish it didn't come with that shit. Since Android's so "open" (obviously isn't), I shouldn't have to root the device to get rid of the pre-installed apps.

this is a terrible reviewing maybe when your rotating the phone you should be more patient with it and let the freakin web pages lot duh wow terrible review im sticking with phone dog at least he covers the phone keyboards and texting unlike u

2. Rotating a device should be instant (like the iPhone).

3. I don't review phones for a living (glad I don't; would be embarrassing to put on a resume), nor would I ever want to.

You're obviously expecting too much from someone who has only reviewed one phone.

ok i never bash ppl on youtube because its just gay but this is seriously the worst review i have ever seen. how can you not know that the screen rotates one way if your the reviewer?? and obviously if someone is watching a vid about a u.s cellular phone we dont give a shit about the iphone 4 so dont compare them. btw NOBODY uses the default android browser you can just download a 3rd party one. thats the beauty of android

@gumballtech wow are you serious? That's a major screw up by htc! Mine has 576 RAM, and easily get more than a day with quiet a bit of use. maybe the battery life is poorer too for some reason on the CDMA?

btw by CDMA, do you mean like you cant put a sim in it?

Get you facts straight man! It's got 576mb RAM! i know it says 300 something on the official website, but it's actually 576, check some more sites.

Also, the battery is 1400mah, not 1500
