@AlainNaigeon he's not a tenor for aida
-
@MrMrmike5 OMG, do you mean they bought a right to boo, that's disgusting !!
-
@BentivoglioIII But he did sing !
-
The audience first broke the relationship by their behaviour (which had no musical reason) !

@fiordiligicymraeg when who pay so much to go to la prima at La Scala you have right to listen to the maximum , and if don't know how to sing don't do the tenor.

He is such a DIVO!!!!
-
"He was in shock and that risked his vocal health"? What?
Oh, cry some more. Get over it and go on with the show, instead of storming off like a two year old during a temper tantrum. Honestly.

People have a right to Boo. I mean nobody came to an opera and pay a hefty amount of money (even in the balconies) to hear crap music or bad technique and besides if they dont boo, the tenor thinks his voice is perfect and goes on singing like an old granny on medication
I am certainly not an Alagna fan, but to boo a singer is just such an incredible show of ignorance - they are human beings, having to work with what is there on the night. And yes, everyone has off-nights, in which case there shouldn't be any bravo shouting and just a "polite" applause (quite disturbing enough for a singer). But booing is undignified and childish.

I personally think that people SHOULDN'T boo at an opera. Even though when a singer isn't at his/her best, at least stand up and clap for their efforts.
There's no such thing as a perfect singer. Not to say that Alagna's performance was stellar by any means. I'm just saying that even the best singers will be off-key every once in awhile.
Show me a perfect opera singer and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.
