Today was the dedication ceremony for the Soleri Bridge in Scottsdale. This is my first crossing of the bridge.
The pylons are six inches apart, and placed so that at solar noon, a dagger of sunlight follows the red line down the center of the bridge. This video was about 30 minutes before solar noon, but you can see the sun shining between the pylons when I get down to that end.

Thanks, Paolo, for an incredible addition to the cityscape of Scottsdale. I'm not sure that the billions on this planet scrabbling for their big macs, coca colas, big cars, and single family dwellings will be able to live up to your vision, though.
