The Ilocos region became known for the Sakadas a group of Filipinos who migrated to Hawaii and worked as plantation laborers. As a result, their lives, the lives of their families and their community have changed tremendously. For the program YouMove: Filipino Youth & Migration, communications students Hadji Rieta and Dimple Vicente produced a video documentary focusing on the positive side of migration titled Little Hawaii.

Focusing on the town of Bacarra, the film featured an old couple who was one of the early migrants in Hawaii. They shared their stories and how even their children followed in their footsteps. In spite of them being called Hawaiinos, these people did not turn their backs on their country. in fact, they helped improve their local community through financial assistance in various LGU projects. To these Filipino migrants, the real meaning of love for country is being able to help in any way they can.

This project was produced through a workshop spearheaded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Probe Media Foundation, Inc. (PMFI). Dubbed as YouMove: Filipino Youth & Migration, the programme provided opportunities for students in communication-related courses to increase their awareness and understanding of migration (regular and irregular) and produce creative outputs that focused on their chosen subjects.
