A "product of financial transaction"? Are you really that cold? It is LOVE that gives infertile couples the strength to battle their infertility and it is just very sad that these already suffering couples have to pay so much. IVF-children are conceived with LOVE. Thát is what you explain to them.

I am a 42 year old woman who just had her first child. I have a medical and a master's degree from a university in north america. I never contemplated any interventions to get pregnant, and was willing to be childless. I thought just the stress of infertility treatments can make me less likely to conceive. I can not understand how anybody could pay for gametes in order to become a parent. How do you explain to a child that they are the product of a financial transaction. Glory To God

Sorry for the pain you are in right now. I endured 7 IVF's only 1 of which was a success. It is very hard to be positive - I cried almost all day every day - this is the worst pain to be in... you want a child so badly but yet you can't understand why you can't have one. Just know that it can happen after 3 failed cycles. My son was our 5th IVF cycle (then we tried 2 more for a sibling but they both failed). Take Care & I wish you all the best.

You've always come across as a very un-self-centred guy to me. We're all human, though - always pushing uphill against that one ;).
I'm so sorry your latest transfer wasn't successful. When you get to the third strike it gets very hard. I'm glad you have the opportunity to try again. Statistics say there is plenty of hope, hard as that is to take any comfort in when it's you and you don't know the ending.

It truly takes a strong person to realize that they have been "self centered" I'm sure it wasn't intentional. Sounds like Hope loves you endlessly, and you her. I'm wishing you the best in your future together, No matter what may come.
