Great idea, i've actually seen a guy smoke an entire cigar, not cut up in a pipe. He just shoved it in and had it stick out another 5 inches, said it worked great.

Great minds think alike, I guess....I did a video about this very thing awhile back...I mixed the cigar butt tobacco in with another regular pipe blend that I wanted to turn into a cigar blend. Ended up with my own 'Billy Bud" mixture.

@Charredbriar GMTA, but fools seldom differ. yeah, i think i recall that video. Originally i read about this, just as a means to smoke plugged cigars, and the bits of really good butts, on a cigar forum i was part of back when i started this hobby. Thanks for watching and commenting.
