  • a GREAT and PROUD people that were led astray and did NOTHING to spread the curse of NAZIsm. Pray AMERICA will wake up before OBAMAism creates the same phobia in this GREAT land.

  • Tommorow did belong to the Nazi's and what a horrible tommorow it was. Millions sacrificed because of the sordid whim of evil incarnate. I think this song, in the film, was meant to illustrate how many of the German youth had become corrupted by the desings of that evil man and his cowardly henchmen.

  • If there would be a way to recreate the pride and unity they had, without founding it all around hatred and discrimination, many many countries could benefit from that.

  • One of the greatest scene in movie history.

  • The song AND the sentiment ARE beautiful. Hitlers use of it does NOT detract from it. I am mostly Scott, and proud of it. I love my heritage, and THAT is not rascist. The fact that Hitler was batship crazy, and so were his henchmen, was the problem. Masses of people are always manipulated. Many, in America, are being manipulated today.

  • Evil is often difficult to detect. Sometimes what appears to be beautiful is actually monstrous.

  • was watching this, and thought it was a nice song...before the whole nazi stuff. Then I was like 'whoa whoa settle down now'.

  • if the West AND the Soviet Union didn't stop it...

  • Yep, thats how the nazi system worked compressed into a song.

    Great work!

  • I like this song, I remember watching this movie as a child & how moving it was. It's probably the best & most important parts in Caberet.

The song presents how the german people we're manipulated by the Nazi's through the use of properganda as examplified as a song here of togetherness & pride. People naturally have pride & want to be part of anything that makes them feel it.
