Drawing#81: Dark Magician Girl

You know, this was a Yugioh card I never truly wanted, and I use to run spellcasters lol. I just wasn't a fan... but I appreciate the character.

I went with a generic look because I couldn't find too many references for her, that wasn't questionable lmao.

Next to the Sora drawing, this is by far one of the best I've ever drawn. It took exactly 3 hours and some change, minus the putting together of the vid and such.

I started it in the night and had to finish it in the morning. Admittedly, I rushed the last part where I was coloring the skin, but it still looked OK overall. The sketching part really helped. I had the most difficult time with her legs, trying to make it look perfect, but a bit unique at the same time. I had to rework it several times. The face was alright, except it looks very young and not really mature like the real dark magician girl. The skin color is kinda green yellow, and I had no clue what color to use there, so I went with whatever I saw. I'm REALLY happy with the shading, and that's why I saved it as a separate image. The legs couldve been longer I think. The blue color was from my crayola color pencils. I couldn't find that type of blue in prismacolor. I might try to use crayola some more since it's on my table... why not.

I didn't get much shiny hunting done because of this but it was worth it :).

I might have to stop shiny hunting for a week or drawing so I can catch up on things. Not sure which one yet... I'm leaning towards giving up shiny hunting for a week. But I'll be back.

UPDATE: I just noticed I forgot to color in the pink area on her face... the pink line dot thing.. X_X. Oh well, too late now lol.
