  • I'm guessing you guy watch alot of Tyler perry movies when studying black culture huh

  • The book has a rather bland plot, but the style of writing is masterful thus not only saving the book, but making it a great success. I read it last semester. I found it to be one of the more enjoyable books that I've read. The number one most enjoyable book that I've read, I'm actually still reading it..."A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry. It's 600 pages that you will pass through like a knife through butter, as opposed to many books which feel more like a pick through stone.

  • Tomorrow at school me and a three other people need to do an "original" book discussion about A million little pieces by James Frey for our class. We need to discuss language and style etc. and not so much characters so our idea was to do like a talkshow but it is very difficult to talk about style then.. So what should we do now, does anyone have an idea for us?

  • yeah ok not to downplay the whole racism that preceeded and went on after the civil war...but hasn't slayvery been going on for thousands of years?! lol.

so ask some peasant in the middle ages or some europeans that were enslaved by the romans if they felt "disenfranchised" ^^

  • A wonderful summation of the book. Thank you.
