As I said, this is not the history of the Bible. It does not talk about the history of the New Testament believers. It does not talk about the Jewish environment of Jesus. It does not talk about Palestine. So therefore it is only about New Testament scribal traditions. Your title is a deliberate lie in the name of Muhammed. Allahakbar!

It it the Bible History because Bible is taken from bibiolatic which in greek language means libray of books. in sweden they call bibioletic the libray. so my friend the real Holy book is Engeel which muslim also believe in it.

this book is writen by man this is not a holybook. real bible is Engeel. where did this bible come from or christian name? show me verse the say oh yo christian or bible name? man it is man made book has nothing to do with God's book.

I want to thank you for posting this educational video. I appreciate being able to watch videos like this w/an opportunity to read citizens of the world reaction to them. Only most of the time the comments I read are of anger; hate; and ignorant-arrogance. This then discourages others from sharing their understanding and reactions. I appreciate disagreement . Ehrman is a pretty good scholar. I have his audio lectures on the historical Jesus.

Yes the Coran talks about Jesus. We have a surah about his birth (Al-Imran)... And there is even a surah called Mariam (Mary). We believe he was a prophet. Not God or the Son of God

"man wrote the bible" HUH?how ridiculous is that often used argument against the bible you can do better than that !what was God supposed to use to record his plan for redemption? a monkey? No God can reason like us He INSPIRED the crown jewel of creation MAN created in his own image and likeness God is spirit He did once come in our form and had fingers but those fingers healed people God didnt write any books Hes GOD he doesn't have to write He just spoke and the universe came into existence

At the risk of incurring your displeasure I suspect that Al Quran you see is not Al Quran from the first millenium and even less the exact words spoken by the Prophet. I am intrigued by your observation that Jesus does not or did not exist. I believe the Koran refers to Issa?

Lovely post. I have listened to Bart Ehrman; he is an erudite, extremely informed, and methodical scholar.
