@chompo7 Joe! I know you, you're a genius! I've seen what you can do and your knowledge. Replacing caps is not really difficult. Most important you would need the schematic for your amp, or to figure out the values of each cap and get that value, or higher is acceptable. It's just a matter of taking out/replacing and soldering skills are acquired... I was building stuff when I was a kid. You could probably find the schematic for your unit, by Googling! Wish we lived closer I'd it for ya!

This is a great sounding Admiral mono hi fi/TV console!! Does the TV work also? These are actually the "home theaters" of the 1950's!(predecessors of today's surround sound, flat screen TV theaters). Thank you for posting...Friends, Lloyd.

@lrh1966 yes the tv does actually work,too bad there is nothing on analog to see.
actually it needs a recap job in order to play it safely but it really does work!

@chompo7
If you get it fully, and safely working, it would be cool to see it demonstrated with DVD/VCR playback on it...Friends, Lloyd.

@THEmotownboy thanks for the nice compliments and personal message.
yes i do love old vintage phonographs and turntables.i have my whole entire life.
i have about 15 or so vintage ones now but during the course of my almost 47 years
i probably had close several hundred!! my favorite period is from the early 50's to the
early 60's.after that they kind of lose their charm for me.
