A lot of people call this a Zelda rip off, but it really isn't. Atlus themselves admitted that 3D Dot Game Heroes, from the ground up, was basically their love letter project to Nintendo to show how much they appreciate Zelda, and how much they're inspired by it.
If I were Miyamoto, I'd be pretty flattered. LOL
