Recorded in November 2007 at a Concert at The Point in Cardiff Bay.

Maganta are a top-notch UK-based 6 piece Band, that play what's perhaps best described as 'Progressive Rock'.

The concert was professionally recorded for a future DVD release, and suffice to say, the Band were on great form and put on a superb show.

The song "Anger" is from the 2004 CD 'Seven' and is always a crowd-pleaser when played.

As for 'Jingle Bells'...well, it was nearly Christmas!

---------------------------------------

Maganta are : Rob Reed {Keyboards}, Christina {Vocals}, Chris Fry {Guitar}, Martin Rosser {Guitar}, Daniel Fry {Bass Guitar}, and Alan Mason-Jones {Drums}.

  • This is some really good stuff. I don't normally like Progressive Rock (I appreciate it, but I don't listen to stuff link Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Rush, etc, on a regular or frequent basis) but this is really excellent.

Send em to America for us?

  • There is now a new version, available on the "Singles" album and free for download from their website, which has a much more rocky solo on the end, it's awesome!

  • So you appear in the dvd Live at the Point

  • @DCussen Or talented, or original, or interesting or...you know, good.

  • Kind of like a Kate Bush, though maybe not quite as pretty...or weird..

  • Damn! Christina is so beautiful...even her feet are perfect....yummy!

  • Sounds like an updated version of the band Curved Air, that did stuff like this 35-40 years ago. Nice to hear something current in this genre.

  • Does anyone got tabs for this? i couldnt find it

  • oh what a great performance, yumyum

  • People tend these days to describe any odd time signature or atonal melodies as "Prog". It is just a label and labels are psychologically limiting. This is a nice song and fits the Art Rock motif.

  • Exactly! Where is the thing that gives Prog Rock its name?

    Good point man.
