  • What is that an eastern box turtle ??

  • @TCM666 No, three-toed box turtle. He might be a hybrid (as evident by the colouring), but he has three toes on each of his back feet.

  • So adorable. What kind of treats do you give him? I think I'll buy the same for mine too! ;)

  • It's Reptile Life box turtle food, by The Bug Company :)

  • He looks very happy and healthy!

He has grown well too, I want to see an update video. It's been 2 years!

  • lol, i have one of these. I just recently lost him outside for like 4 days but he was fine when he was found. They are smart and good at surviving. Make sure you give him some natural treats like slugs and worms. Half of their diet should be those kinds of things and half vegetables or fruit.

  • i find Box Turtles to be so cute when you offer them food, i have an adult male eastern box turtle who sadly had to become a permanent pet when i took him out of the wild for a few days and during that a construction crew plowed up his natural home, but he's been with my family for about 20 years and has since grown accustomed to being around humans, he's no longer shy or afraid and very friendly, he's also very healthy and active, but when he sees his food he gets really excited, its so cute

  • thats really cute.

  • Lol what's in that turtle food.

  • Aww that is adorable!

  • dont tease him

  • @curtbone100 Thanks!! What type of turtle do you have? Activity varies by both species and age. Griffin gets VERY excited by food - first thing every morning he's pacing up and down the front of his tank waiting for me. If your turtle seems sluggish, it may be that the temperature of the enclosure isn't high enough (80F is a good average). Look up Austin's Turtle Page for more info, they have a great forum there with helpful people! :)
