@ravensnaketotem He wasn't saying that it's an athiest's holiday, but that it is a human holiday. Historically, The winter season and solstice have been about feasting, gift giving, and spending time with family. Most of the traditions tied to Christmas nowadays was adopted by Christianity in an attempt to persuade pagans to convert.

The winter Solstice was never a thing for Atheist but an aspect of many of the old religions around the world and to claim it as atheist because it is a natural occurrence is in insulting to all of the other religions around the world that celebrate as a religious holiday.
