Easy Star All-Stars are a reggae collective, who are known for their reggae interpretations of classic albums.
Following their interpretation of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" - entitled "Dub Side Of The Moon" - the band decided to tackle Radiohead's "OK Computer" album. The result of this project was the album "Radiodread".
Here is their take on the song "No Surprises", featuring reggae vocal trio The Meditations.

Avoid vaccines, they contain aluminum, mercury, MSG, aspartame/formaldehyde, squalene, mutagens etc that cause diseases like lupus, arthritis, Gulf War Syndrome, Zombie/Sheeple Syndrome, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, allergies, asthma, cancer, ADD/autism etc. Still the genocidal WHO is pushing the h1n1 shot when vitamin d3, silver, garlic products etc. should be promoted to oust za vampires & verevolves!
Hum... i generally like mix´s or covers, but I just don´t like this. reggae ain´t much mt type of music, and for me they kinda ruined the song, ´cause they can´t transmit the message of the song through this cover.
different strokes for different folks i guess :) like the other dude said, the message was intended to be ironic so with the happy reggae style it sort of makes sense... but i just think that the original was better - it was ironically happy, but also haunting which doesn't really come accross here.
Who said that was their intention? Or better yet, how is that even possible? How can you reproduce the same message through different means? In art it does not seem possible. Slight variations can make great changes. Is this not a fundamental paradox to your argument?
