@freezazoid This is recorded with a pair of spaced cardioid at a distance of nearly 10 feet, up in the air, as you can see in that shot. One natural effect when using cardioid at a distance is that you will have a loss in low-end due to the proximity effect- easy to bring back with an EQ, but as mentioned preciously, record things dry so that you can hear what the microphones are doing.

I think that you made a really great choice... really fantastic pair of microphones. Hope that you got them from us! Of course if you ever need any help choosing the right preamp, compressors, converters, etc. (or guitar) we are always here to help.
