Catch Up

Light Pickings

The light is so
very beautiful
this morning sun is
streaming through the
rusty autumn leaves
and low with shadow
emphasises subtleties
in this dramatic moment
shape and form and
heightened clefts are
set against the slate
grey sky

The first born
children are about
clutched in bundle
teenage crisp
as cherished gift
'twixt dustmen on
their early picking
bright glints capture
captured driver Mike
as glorious in gaudy
stripe the crossing
lady gently has the
traffic do her every
bidding



sCat

My old cat she
fell in a bowl
of custard she
was flabbergast
and briefly fur~
~ious 'till licking
fitfully and full
enough of fluff
and fur balls to
forget that food
was first of her
desires or and
distracted by
requirement
to be satisfied
in nothing more
than being cat
stretched elegant
and Sat



Inter Twine

Inheritance and legacy
are intertwined
in me
and you are so implicit
existent nexus at this time
of writing reading listen
to the chimes
the tolling bell the jingles
telling tales and tidings
ebb and flow of days
now met in me and now
in you
we are the interception
first and last impressions
passages of windy time
we are wax and waning
fatal innocence at large
and looming is tomorrow
as yesterday is fading so
we bound the vault today
