Dentists can't wait to load our mouths with fluoride. They know they will decay our teeth faster, and make more money.

I remember my neighbor, who was a dental hygienist, came to our Christian elementary school in Southern California in 1977. She explained how to brush correctly, etc. One of the last things, if not the last, was to LEAVE THE TOOTHPASTE IN YOUR MOUTH AFTER BRUSHING AND SWALLOW THE CONTENTS. I thought it was strange even as a child. My parents never told me to do that before. They said to spit and rinse. She visited every class in my grade. Not sure if she visited K thru 5th. Its an evil world.

Ottawa's fluoride comes from East Tampa, Fla., and its shortage has been attributed to hurricane Katrina damaging Gulf Coast manufacturing facilities two years ago, a downturn in the phosphate mining industry and the shutdowns of some American suppliers.

Thanks for spreading the reality of flouride--that it's a poison. Flouride is harmful!

i agree that it is poison in large doses. But there is no evidence that it is harmful at 1ppm

Ummm, ok how exactly do you tell when you have reached your daily limit of 1 ppm per day. Secondly, flouridated water is used in food processing so in many foods including dry cereals you are already getting more than the daily recommended limit.

Well..1 part per million, in say...7 litres of water a day. It not gonna bust a nut.

it's accumulated though, every day you have it in toothpaste, plus at the dentist, and in drinking water every single day. That's quite a lot.

fluoride from the dentist/toothpaste is a topical application (not to be swallowed)

But systemic fluoride is not locked in the body for ever.

99% of F is held in bone/dental tissues. Bone is active tissue constantly being remodelled. Fluoride wil be released during remodelling.

The rest (1%) will move to soft tissues or the kidneys. And will be excreted via urine, sweat and faeces
