I hope non of us would ever have to experience a CT Scan (CAT scan).
But if you have ever wondered what it is like, here is a glimpse, from the eyes of a camera.

The camera is lying on the scanner's bed while filming a spiral ct-scan
watch how the x-ray affects the CCD cells once it is moving under the radiated area, it is like aliens took control over the tv set.
You can see the camera reflected by the gantry's cover window just before it gets noisy, see if you can guess the brand of the camera :)

Dont ask how i got the resources for that ;)

    איך הלימודים?

  • cool man !!! hows yours :) building stuff i guess?

  • WOW. Hey mekarer have you studied signal processing?

  • Studied, studting, and will study until i die :)

  • That is great. I wonder what the output of the scan would look like?

  • it was 4 years ago and i lost it.

but from what i remember, since there are many metallic parts, the images had many artifacts and noise, its like taking a picture of your mirror using flash, because metal spreads the ray back to many places.

  • @techisforme To keep the image slices as much sharp as possible as breathing will cause the image to blur at certain sections so it will be less useful for MDs.

  • LOL that is cool

  • Olympus --the brand of your camera. :p

  • @techisforme So you don't move during the scan

  • Philips Healthcare

  • @musichalloffame the only feeling you got was from the contrast they injected ... you can't feel a ct

  • @lonelyroadtofreedom its not radiating until a second or two after the computer voice tells to "breathe in and hold your breath" which is quite a few seconds after he leaves the frame ... ample time to leave.

  • okay I know it's a helical scanner but I'd like to know who manufactures it? It's not a GE or Toshiba.
