The strange and mysterious big lake in the middle of the desert in California. The beachfront portion of this community has been abandoned, though people still live inland a block or two.

  • The Area you are surveying was called ''Hunky's Place'' There was a Bar that sat on the water and marina. Hunky was a Hungarian! About 100 yards west was the ''Luck 'O The Irish'' Bar, also on the beach, then the Bombay Marina. The Bringle family owned the Marina. Also there was a bar at the corner of 5th and A, The ''Tradewinds'' owned by the Hargraves, and at the other end of town the ''Corvina Marina!'' Everyone knows the 'Ski Inn'' by the Belknaps and ''Bombay Market'' by the Kinley family
